Seven Chinese nationals have just been sentenced to 20 years in prison, each for human trafficking, and the story of what happened is just shocking. So apparently they were involved in kidnapping innocent people from Malawi whom they smuggled into South Africa illegally using shipping containers, then they were forced to work in a garment factory in Johannesburg.
During the raid, police found 91 Malawi nationals held here against their will, and 37 of these people were children. I mean, how disturbing is that? After these people were sentenced, the daughter of one of the guilty, who apparently was there just for support, started shouting in the courtroom, making some pretty wild claims.
So, according to her, the “big boss” of this human trafficking ring is still in South Africa on the loose, and she says he is a very powerful person now. She didn’t specify a name. Exactly. But now people are speculating if this is real. Who is this big boss is it a businessman, is it a politician, or what is going on. Either way, it is just scary, knowing some of the evils going on in this world.
